(SNM MUSIC) Josiah Ikupolati—Dancing All Christmas [@boogsocial @sabonetdboss]

Josiah Ikupolati was born Abidemi Josiah Oluwabusayo Olumuyiwa Olusanya Ikupolati
on the 24th September, 1983 in Apapa (LAG) to Ezekiel and Comfort Ikupolati. He is from
Iyara, Ijumu (KG), and presently lives in Lokoja.

He writes songs, sings, raps, and manages things. He Founded BOOG Records in May

2013, though he’d conceived the idea since 2000 (but wasn’t able to get to it till 2013 due

to cultural and environmental demands on him to become something else), and had

coined the name for the label since 2012. BOOG Records is a conscious music label and

presently and eventually would be promoted as an independent entertainment outfit.

He is a graduate of Zoology (2008) from the University of Jos. In April 2013, he moved to

Lokoja (KG) from Jos (PL) to begin the process for the takeoff of his label. He still often

returns to and spends indefinite period of days in Jos. In the following May and June, he

discovered and worked with Josh King a producer in Lokoja under the stage name IJO to

record THE BOOG INTRODUCTORY PLAY, a set of 4 abridged songs that he made

available for downloads and illegal re-uploads and distribution by whomever interested

which gradually introduced and impressed his label in select radios and ears in Kogi,

Plateau, Kwara, Abuja, Kaduna, Kano and Benue as a kick-off presence in the Nigerian

music scene. He immediately followed up with the 1st leg of the 7-Town TBOOGIP

Listening Session, covering 3 towns (Lokoja, Jos & his hometown Iyara) and taking the

2nd leg off in November (Makurdi, Ilorin, Kaduna, Abuja) after the next studio recording

for his label's next release.

This follow up release by the label is The BOOG Christmas Season 0 Single “DANCING

ALL CHRISTMAS,” going public 21st October, 2013. He announced on the 16th October

2013 that he would henceforth make use of his birth name [Josiah Ikupolati] on stage.

And according to the label's discography schedule, an Extended Play (EP)/Mixtape for the

label should drop for free download on 1st February, 2014 on the label's website to be

launched in January 2014. This EP/Mixtape will feature collaborations between him and

only fellow artists he’d grown and developed artistically with.

Consequently, he has been telling everyone who cares that his first album would be

launched for sales on or days between 1st August and 1st September, 2014.
